Η Sony φέρνει στην αγορά έναν νέο υψηλής ανάλυσης αισθητήρα στην αγορά.
Είναι ένα μοντέλο 1/2.3 16.15MP έγχρωμου CCD αισθητήρα με κωδικό ICX682SQW διαγώνιο 7.757χιλ.). Είναι αισθητήρας για ψηφιακές φωτογραφικές μηχανές του εμπορίου που επιπλέον υποστηρίζει και σήμα βίντεο high-definition (αντίστοιχο του 720/30p) για εικόνες με υψηλή ευαισθησία.

This CCD image sensor also achieves high-definition television (equivalent to 720/30p) video imaging and high-sensitivity continuous still imaging (4.04M pixels, 5.046 frame/s).”
