Η με έδρα το San Francisco Frog Design δημιούργησε μια μελέτη για ένα ηλεκτρικό concept δικύκλου με έμπνευση το FZ750 Rana concept που σχεδίασε το 1985 ο δημιουργός της Frog, ο κος Hartmut Esslinger.
Το όλο project που παρουσίασε η Frog Design στο blog designmind έχει σαν στόχο τη δημιουργία μιας προκλητικής σχεδίασης. Ο χώρος της μηχανής έχει ένα προκλητικό κενό και το ηλεκτρικό μοτέρ είναι πίσω ενώ η οδήγηση είναι ηλεκτρική – fly-by-wire, με OLED ταμπλό και heads-up display στο κράνος, έλεγχο με την ίριδα και τη φωνή αλλά και μόνιμη σύνδεση με το Internet.
Ο Senior Industrial Designer της εταιρίας κος Jin Seok Hwang λέει: “We were very conscious about retaining the emotional impact of the iconic motorcycle silhouette however, and as such repurposed the bulky volume formerly known as the gas tank.”
“It has become an ergonomic affordance for the rider, a support underneath and in front of the rider hugging his or her bike at great speeds. This design element provides a continuous formal transition from the back of the seat to the front of the instrument cluster and down around the void, transforming into the new location for the bikes fuel: the batteries.”
Το κάτω μέρος του σασί έχει τις κυψέλες ενώ έτσι μειώνεται και το κέντρο βάρους.
