Both flagships in their own right, the RX1R enjoys a modification to its full-frame sensor, now allowing the potential for greater detailed shots thanks to the removal of the anti-aliasing filter.
Aside from that, some of the same components are maintained such as the f/2 Carl Zeiss fixed lens. No slouch itself, the RX100MII incorporates a new 1-inch sensor — a first of its kind in a body of this size — that will also feature upwards of 40% greater sensor sensitivity in lowlight conditions for both cleaner shots and quicker focusing. From a pricing standpoint, the RX1R maintains its $2,800 USD MSRP while the newly redefined RX100MII gets a $100 USD bump to $750 USD.
