Τα επόμενη δέκα χρόνια θα είναι οι ‘σταρ’ των πολέμων. Και τα επόμενα 10 χρόνια οι ρομποτικά αεροσκάφη φαίνεται πως θα κυριαρχήσουν στους εξοπλισμούς.
Υπολογίζεται πως θα δαπανηθούν $6.4 δις κάθε χρόνο κάτι που ήδη γίνεται κατά τις έρευνες του Teal Group Corp., μιας εταιρίας ερευνών αεροδιαστημικής με έδρα το Fairfax της Virginia. Και το νούμερο θσ φτάσει τα $11.5 δις μέχρι το 2024.
Σε μια δεκαετιά θα δαπανηθούν σε έρευνα και εξέλικη $91 δις κατά τους αναλυτές του Teal Group και τις προβλέψεις τους.
Στρατιωτικά drones…
Εδώ η ανάπτυξη της αγοράς έρχεται κυρίως από της ΗΠΑ και άλλες χώρες. Μια μεγάλη γκάμα από unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems — από τα micro UAVs που χωράν σε μια παλάμη, μέχρι τα μεγάλα UAVs σαν το Predator για αναγνώριση.
Σε αυτή την κατηγορία υπάρχουν και τα λεγόμενα “hunter-killer” UAV και οι αναλυτές του Teal Group αναμένουν να δαπανηθούν εδώ μεγάλα ποσά από τις ΗΠΑ. Η δε κατηγορία που θα έχει τη μεγάλη ανάπτυξη είναι τα πολεμικά – unmanned combat air vehicles (UCAVs) σαν το Boeing X-45 Phantom Ray, το Northrop Grumman X-47 Pegasus και όχι μόνο.
Πολιτικά ρομποαεροσκάφη…
Σύμφωνα με την αναφορά τα λεγόμενα nonmilitary UAV, σήμερα το 11% των πωλήσεων, θα είναι το 14% της αγοράς.
“Our coverage of the civil UAV market continues to grow with each annual report, mirroring the gradual increase in the civil market itself,” λέει ο κος Philip Finnegan, από τους αναλυτές του Teal Group σε δήλωση.
Συγκεκριμένα:
- Government UAVs: In the next decade, the world can expect to see more drones used for things like border control, law enforcement and wildlife research.
- Commercial UAVs: Agriculture, mapping and natural resource extraction are expected to see increased drone use.
- Hobbyist UAVs: The report finds that the number of mass-produced drones, ranging in cost from several hundred to several thousand dollars, will also likely increase in the coming decade. These drones will be used by hobbyists and certain professionals, such as real estate agents looking to showcase homes.
While Teal Group analysts expect growth in all three of these sectors over the next decade, the group said that the government is the most likely sector to increase investment in UAV systems in the years to come. Law enforcement agencies and other civil government organizations will have to spend more on drones than will hobbyists, for example, because the types of drones these organizations use will probably be much more expensive.
The report also says that drones used for governmental purposes will likely have much easier access to airspace than drones used for other purposes.
