Με αυτά τα λόγια η Pioneer ανακοίνωσε πως θα είναι η πρώτη εταιρία με Apple CarPlay λειτουργία στη σειρά των 2014-NEX in-dash multimedia receiver της.
Το σύστημα επιτρέπει hands-free λειτουργία του iPhone και μαζί της αναμένεται στο χορό να μπουν και οι Alpine αλλά και Clarion. Ταυτόχρονα και οι Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, GM, Honda, Mazda, Audi αναμένεται να προσθέσουν τέτοια χαρακτηριστικά σε μοντέλα τους για iPhone 5 ή νεότερο και iOS 7.1.
