Στη CES 2017, η Sony έριξε και το δικό της Ultra HD Blu-ray σε consumer έκδοση. Είναι το X800 και θα είναι διαθέσιμο για £400 / €520. Υπόσχεται εικόνα με Ultra HD, HDR (High Dynamic Range) ανάλυση ενώ είναι το πρώτο με το Dolby Vision HDR format. Για τέλειο ζευγάρωμα με τη Sony OLED. Η εταιρία θα συνεργαστεί δε και με τη Sony Pictures Entertainment στο Hollywood ”to ensure the best possible playback from 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs as the creators intended, and with the added benefit of 4K picture quality.” Τι άλλο;
Είναι και ρυθμισμένο για audiophiles με δύο εξόδους HDMI, η μια για audio. Τι ήχο;
