The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is a hand-held smartphone/mobile gimbal system featuring 3-axis stabilisation for producing smooth, professional grade, stabilised videos and sharp images.
Compared to the first generation Osmo Mobile, the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 features a much improved battery life of up to 15 hours, is slightly lighter at 485g, is more compact, has a standard 1/4″-20 tripod thread; and adds nifty features such as zoom control, Sport & Walk gimbal modes, hyperlapse, beautify, HDR (depending on phone), and slow-motion recording (depending on phone).
The Osmo Mobile 2 syncs with compatible Apple and Android devices through the DJI Go App. Once the app is installed and synced with the Osmo Mobile you can control your phone’s camera with either dedicated physical buttons or from your phone’s screen, you can also enable the Osmo Mobile 2’s best feature, ActiveTrack, a feature that automatically keeps your smartphone’s camera facing you as you move.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is compatible with most phones with a width between 58.6-84.8mm (phones with 4-6 inch display’s); and at time of writing requires Bluetooth 4.0, as well as Android 4.4 and up, or iOS 9.0 and up to sync.
