Τελείωσε το GDC 2019, τέλος και στη Google φήμη: ναι, τελικά έχουμε μια ολόφρεσκη game streaming υπηρεσία που ονομάζεται… Stadia.
Πίσω από τη νέα προσπάθεια της εταιρίας υπάρχει AMD hardware, μέσα στο παιχνίδι το Project Stream, με το Stadia να υπόσχεται άμεση πρόσβαση, multi-platform υποστήριξη και συμβατότητα με πολλές game engines.
Μεγάλο κέρδος για την AMD η όλη ιστορία που είναι και πίσω από το Project Stream με τις Radeon Pro GPUs. Κάθε GPU δίνει 10.7 TFLOPs ισχύ από 56 Compute Units με HBM2 μνήμη ενώ το Stadia έχει και μια custom x86 CPU στα 2.7GHz. Υπάρχει υποστήριξη για AVX2 και hyperthreading κάτι που σημαίνει αρχιτεκτονική Zen 2 CPU AMD ενώ κατά τα άλλα μιλάμε για 16GB RAM και 9.5MB L2+L3 cache.

Το Stadia θα υποστηρίζει: PC, smartphones, tablet, τηλεοράσεις και τον Google Chrome browser αρχικά. Έφτιαξαν και δικούς τους controllers, mouse και πληκτρολόγιο. Χμμ…
