Η Lockheed Martin μόλις παρουσίασε τα πρώτα δύο νέας κατασκευής F-16 Block 70 της Σλοβακίας. Τα “most advanced 4th generation fighter ever built”, όπως τα αποκαλεί η αμερικανική εταιρία είναι μερικά από τα 140, χωρίς την παραγγελία της Τουρκίας, μαχητικά που θα παραμείνουν φυσικά για πολλά, πολλά χρόνια σε υπηρεσία. Και ας έκλεισε τα 50 το μαχητικό…
Η χώρα
Η θα παραλαμβάνει τζετ και το 2025, με την πρώτη ομάδα, το πρώτο ferry cell όπως το αποκαλούν των αεροσκαφών να φτάνει στη χώρα στα μέσα του 2024.
Η εταιρία έχει backlog 135 αεροσκαφών χωρίς τα επιπλέον οκτώ μιας νέας παραγγελίας της Βουλγαρίας.

We are proud to be part of this endeavor and are committed to delivering a total of 14 jets to Slovakia.”
Sanchez continued: “The integration of this proven platform will allow the Slovak Air Force to effectively safeguard its borders and partner with allies across Europe, NATO, and the world. These F-16 Block 70 jets, proudly manufactured in Greenville, South Carolina, are a testament to advanced engineering and technology. With a current backlog of 135 jets, the production line serves as a cornerstone of national security, offering state-of-the-art F-16 fighter jet capabilities to allies worldwide”.
