Η Sony Electronics μαζί με την Sony Pictures είχαν αποκαλύψει την υπηρεσία Bravia Core στην CES 2021 και υποσχεθεί “UHD BD equivalent quality”. Η νέα streaming service από σήμερα είναι διαθέσιμη στις high-end Sony 2021 τηλεοράσεις, τα μοντέλα “Bravia XR”.

Αν αγοράσετε μια Sony A90J ή μια Z9J θα λάβετε 10 movie credits ενώ οι υπόλοιπες τηλεοράσεις θα λάβουν 5 movie credits από μια ομάδα 300 νέων ή πρόσφατων ταινιών όπως οι Venom, Peter Rabbit, Ghostbusters, Blade Runner 2049, Jumanji: The Next Level.
Οι ιδιοκτήτες όμως θα εγγραφούν και σε μια άλλη “selection of movies to stream any time and as many times as they like, in up to 4K HDR quality” που ονομάζεται ‘Unlimited Streaming’ με τις A90J και Z9J να συνοδεύονται με πρόσβαση για 24 μήνες και άλλα μοντέλα του 2021 να έχουν 12 μήνες πρόσβαση.
Το σημαντικό είναι η ποιότητα της εικόνας που η εταιρία περιγράφει ως “UHD BD equivalent quality” streaming. Μιλάμε για 80 Mb/s bitrates που είναι επιπέδου UHD Blu-ray ενώ μέχρι τώρα, μόνο η Apple TV+ έδινε streaming ποιότητα σε 40+ Mb/s peak bitrates.
Η εταιρία λέει: “BRAVIA CORE features Pure Stream which offers streaming between 30 Mbps – 80 Mbps. To access Pure Stream at 30 Mbps, you must have a minimum internet speed of 43 Mbps. To access highest quality Pure Stream available at 80 Mbps you must have a minimum internet speed of 115 Mbps”.
